Made for: Standard 8mm / Super 8mm / 16mm film
Made in the USA by Kodak

When dealing with film, especially old, you need to be careful. But, sadly, film often goes into pieces. When that happens, you'll need to splice it. There are to types of splicing. You can use a cement/glue, which I know nothing about, or you can use presstape, which I know something about :)

Presstape is by far the most simple, from what I've read. To do that, you need presstapes, which can be bought at most dealers, an a splicing machine. I have a Kodak Presstape Universal Splicer.

The Kodak splicer can take both super 8 and standard 8mm (and even 16mm), and is easy to use. It can be bought cheap on eBay.

If you get one without an instruction manual, you can get it from Mondo Foto for free here. At the bottom of that page, you can see lots of links to the item on eBay.

There are of course many more types of splicers, check out the Super 8 Wiki here for a list.
